HDFC Sinpower Ltd. Is a joint venture between Sinenergy Holdings Pte. Ltd., Ditrolic (S) Pte. Ltd. And also IFDC Solar Power (BD) Ltd. In Dec 2016, it has signed a 20 years Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Bangladesh Power Development Board to build, operate and own a 60MW solar power plant at Mymensingh district, Bangladesh.

The 60MW solar power plant is the largest in Bangladesh at the time of award and it is a result of cooperation between companies from Malaysia, Singapore and Bangladesh. It is also the largest recipient of Joint Carbon Mechanism grant by the Japanese government as part of the global climate change initiative.

Solar PV System

Spread over 170 acres of land, the project is built near the riverbank of Brahmaputra river in the Mymensingh district, about 100km north of Dhaka. It utilises the world’s most efficient solar panel technology from Japan and is one of the largest high efficiency plant in the world currently.
